Remove the cartridge and Take out all paper chunks and other dust from the printer. Now restart the Canon printer and try to run it without an error code.

Inspect the Paper Roller

Code 6A81 occurs on a Canon printer when it can’t draw the page. Check the printer for rollers. If the rollers are not working, check their ends. Many times, the rollers can’t work due to the dust. The user has to clean the rollers. Instead of cleaning the rollers manually, you can use the printer cleaning utility. Before cleaning, the user has to remove all the pages from the tray and then proceed to clean.

  1. From PC, check for printer driver
  2. Choose maintenance tab
  3. Click on the Roller cleaning option
  4. Tap the Yes button and the Canon printer rollers will start cleaning. When the rollers get clean, try to run the Canon printer.

Repair the Printer Driver

The printer shows error codes when its driver is not working. To fix this, the user has to check for corrupted files and then repair them. But fixing those files is not easy. When you can’t repair them, use the repair tool. For this, you have to install a driver repair tool.

When you run the tool, it will inspect the PC for all the installed drivers. If the repair tool finds the corrupted driver, it will fix the driver. But the user can also reinstall the driver. Go to PC and remove your corrupted printer driver. Now find the same printer driver and install it. When the printer finds the correct driver, it will start working.

Check the paper on the tray

The user should also inspect the tray for pages. People sometimes load pages on cassette and try to take printouts with tray settings. Check the page roller settings and load pages on the correct tray. If the pages seem damp due to humidity then replace them.

Error code can also appear when the page is very small for the printout. When using the postcards or envelope, make sure it doesn’t have sparkle, glue or staple. Remove the pages and put them correctly. Don’t put different sizes of pages at once. Insert the pages with correct alignment otherwise, the printer gets the jam. After reloading pages, give the command and check the Canon printer for error.
